Understanding your attachment style and why it matters
A free guide to help you understand your patterns in relationships and friendships.
Your attachment style influences how you connect, how you cope, and how you protect yourself when you're under stress or feeling worried.
But most of us never learned about attachment growing up, and we’re left trying to make sense of feelings or behaviours that can seem confusing or overwhelming.
Attachment theory is the foundation of my work, and I hope that this simple guide will help you understand yourself with more clarity and compassion.
What's inside the guide?
A clear, compassionate introduction to attachment styles, including:
-
What secure, anxious, avoidant and disorganised attachment really mean
-
How these patterns can show up in relationships and friendships
-
Reflection questions to help you understand your own patterns
-
Gentle next steps you can take to support yourself
About Me
I am an Integrative, Attachment-Informed Counsellor (MBACP), working online with women and couples across the UK.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in helping people understand the patterns that once kept them safe, and how these can shift over time.
Alongside client work, I teach and supervise therapists, with a specialist focus on attachment-based practice.
This guide brings together that knowledge in a way that is supportive, practical and easy to digest. It is for general information only and is not a substitute for therapy.
If you’d like to integrate what you’ve learned or explore attachment patterns more deeply, you’re welcome to book a free introductory chat.
